Doja Cat’s ‘The Scarlet Tour’ comes to life with virtual reality

Doja Cat is in progress Scarlet the tour comes to life – virtually.

The singers sold out show in Detroit from December 2023 premieres in Meta Horizon Worlds‘ Music Valley, with the help of Meta Quest 3 VR headset. The show, titled Doja Cat: The Scarlet Tour in VRwas filmed on location at Little Caesars Arena and will make its digital debut on January 20 at 5 p.m. PT.

Doja Cat’s set was tailor-made for VR, directed and produced by Diamond Bros (who also produced Meta’s Blackpink VR concert) in partnership with Meta. The immersive VR show aims to capture the depth of Doja Cat’s onstage performance, which was packed with stunning additional visuals, from a giant spider to a rotating stage. Fans with a Quest VR headset will be able to watch the show for free. The artist performed some of her biggest hits, including “Woman,” “Paint the Town Red” and “Agora Hills.”

Viewers can RSVP for the show on the Meta website. Reruns will take place for a few weeks after the first broadcast.
